Woodcut block printing is the medium Suzanne chooses to express her love and respect for nature. She uses all natural earth-friendly materials in her printmaking process. Suzanne carves her images of nature into poplar, oak, and basswood, then prints with a water-based vegetable ink onto a natural mulberry paper. She feels strongly about creating art with integrity that not only represents nature but reveres and respects nature throughout her creative process. Suzanne is a vegetarian because of her belief in the sanctity of all living creatures and to aid in the prevention of animal cruelty. Having lived most of her life in Washington and Oregon, Suzanne's prints have that native Northwestern appeal. She lives on a small farm in NW Oregon with her family and animals. Suzanne's images are created to inspire love for animals and nature as she combines her philosophy for living with her Art.
