John Moore: Metal Sculpture
My constant passion is music.  It provides contact with the Inner Man: a way to keep in touch with authentic feelings.  That music reveals these emotions, the need for expression arises and that is when Art becomes important.  The art brings the inside out where it becomes tangible and capable of being observed.  Somehow this has always been important to me.  Also important is the need to communicate what I see and believe I have learned.  In this quest for a more complete understanding, certain objects and images are created and I hope that these are at least amusing if not informative to others.

The fuel for this quest is in the pure joy of creation, whether I am behind a set of drums or have a torch or pen in my hand.  It's the complete involvement in the process that necessitates a return to it...it is much like a mad carnival; all swirling, colorful, and noisy.  Images appear spontaneously, everything created by fire and baptized in sweat.  For me, art is an answer to a question; it may be trivial or profound, but once asked, the artist must respond.
